Weird - iODBC certainly compiles on SuSE 9.0+.
In any case we do support iODBC as well as unixODBC.

I'd suggest that you edit the mxCOMMERCIAL.py file and comment
out the section for iODBC. You will then have to use unixODBC
to talk to your databases.
