[egenix-users] UTF-8 problem

Hi all,

just wanted to give you a quick update about my issue, in case somebody
is interested. It was an environment setting that led to the
misbehaviour:

LANG=xxx - doesn't change the LC_CTYPE environment variable, which is
important for Intersystems Cache.

So I could solve my problem in setting

LC_CTYPE="de_DE at EURO"
export LC_CTYPE

before starting the python (or Zope) process.
