If there is method to make:

>> driver = 'DRIVER={Microsoft Access Driver

a service via network interface on the Windows box, then that would be
great. Then I could use mxODBC to connect over the network. I like it!

May I ask on this list for terms to google about enabling such a
service (port?) on Windows OS?

I will consult the mxODBC docs to determine how the driver config
string will change.
