We did start work on a port a while back but haven't had the resources necessary to continue the work. FWIW this is as far as we got: https://github.com/egenix/egenix-mx-base-python-2x3 I think the tools and knowledge for porting the Python code have come a long way since then but the C extensions will be more work.
